The Chamber took place during the final exhibition of the European Exchange Academy. A five-week intensive art school for selected students from all over the world. It takes place each summer in the remote area of Beelitz Heilstatten, Germany.
I was selected for this academy and at the end exhibition I made this performance work.
Above you can see the entrance to where the performance took place. As you entered on all fours you crawled in the pitch dark to a space, which allowed you to stand up in. Above this space I was positioned lying down, from my shoulders to my knees naked. As the viewer explored the darkness they would most likely discover my presence also.
